Viettel has announced 5GB of free Viettel Cloud storage for Tammi users. This is space for files, not an internet data allowance. Before moving important photos, check your account’s entitlement and test uploading and reopening a small file.
What is the 5GB for?
Viettel’s information published by the Ministry of Science and Technology on 2 November 2026 describes 5GB of free Cloud storage. It does not document each activation screen or promise that the entitlement lasts forever.
Storage space and data transfer are different. Uploading or downloading a file can still require internet access; review the service’s access charges before using mobile data.
Start with a small test
- Open the official Tammi app and check that you are using the account where you want to store files.
- If Cloud or storage is shown in your account, open its details to review available space, terms and validity. Only accept terms you have read.
- Upload a small, non-sensitive test file. Reopen it from the service and check that its contents are complete.
- Keep the original on your device or in another backup until you have checked downloading and recovery.
If Cloud is missing or the allowance differs
Check the app version and signed-in account first. If access is still missing, use in-app support or contact Viettel on 198. Do not pay an outside party to “unlock” an unconfirmed entitlement.
This guide has not directly verified activation for every account. Match any button or utility name to the screen actually shown in your app.
Keep storage services separate
Do not assume LifeBOX, MyBox and Cloud access in Tammi share the same files. Before changing services, check the account, capacity, validity and how to retrieve your files.
This guide has not verified a LifeBOX-to-Tammi migration flow. It also cannot confirm that the free 5GB adds to every 20GB offer to make 25GB.
Frequently asked questions
Is 5GB Cloud an allowance for watching online videos?
It is not a mobile data plan. Cloud is space to store files; data is the traffic used when accessing the internet.
Can I delete my original photos immediately after uploading?
Reopen and download a test first, and keep another copy of important files. Seeing a file name alone does not establish that it can be recovered.
Can Tammi.cloud activate the storage for me?
No. This is an independent guide; the app and provider manage entitlements. This site does not accept accounts, passwords or OTPs.
